Who we are
YakasDesign is run by web and graphic designer, based in Manchester. To be able to offer fully integrated design services, I work with other experienced designers, developers and editors - all with backgrounds in Design, Publishing, IT/Web development.
Having studied the foundations of graphic design in college, I learned to create and produce printed media using traditional (non-digital) methods. I started working in print production, producing newspapers, magazines and newsletters, later book production and various marketing media. Six years ago, whilst working in IT Support for Macmillan Publishers, I began integrating web interface design into my skill set.
Together with my design and development partners, we can produce a brochure or develop a simple web site, a content management system, or an e-commerce site. Because we are a small studio you will have direct access to the creative process, without any hype or technical jargon. You can be certain your work will look good and function properly. All our designs are clear, easy-to-use and easy to understand. We pride ourselves in being honest, if it won't work or we can't do it, we'll tell you. If we think that your money would be better spent elsewhere we'll tell you.
